Sept. 23, 2005, Welcome to the Dobbins Air Reserve Base POW/MIA Memorial Park web site. This site is sponsored by the Dobbins Chiefs Group and does not represent the official view of nor is it endorsed by the U. S. Government or the Department of the Air Force. The goal of the Dobbins POW/MIA web site is to share information and history about the park, provide details about upcoming events and support fund-raising efforts for decorating and placing memorials in the park. Just like the park itself, this site is an ongoing project and remains under construction. Your suggestions and contributions to this Dobbins Chiefs Group effort are always appreciated. April 12 2007 - It's time to update our home page. Thanks to Micah Garbarino of the 94th Public Affairs office for loaning us this shot of the park with its lights aglow. The new lighting was installed in the park this winter and features spotlights on the flags and lighted walkways. The next step is the placement of granite monuments in front of each wall. These monuments will eventually support the memorial plaques that are dedicated each year.
