Along
with sharing his experiences as a prisoner of war, retired Army
Col. William Richardson provided the plaque photo and some thoughts
and words for the Korean War plaque. The photo from the National
Archives shows captured soldiers being marched by North Korean
guards. In his comments, Col. Richardson talked about how you
didn't fall behind regardless of your condition. Many prisoners
were executed on the spot if they couldn't keep up. To keep
a wounded soldier in the march, it took four men to carry the
soldier. You can see the plaque along with the WW II plaque
at the park.
